“Jesus is Lord”
Paul makes the confession the shortest possible creed, and then quotes Joel — “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” — where “the Lord” in the Hebrew is God's own name. The move is deliberate, and it is repeated across the letters.
“that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9→
