2. Job 9:6–9

   He shakes the earth from its place, so that its foundations tremble.

9. Psalms 68:33

   to Him who rides upon the highest heavens of old; behold, His mighty voice resounds.

   And so, since God is spiritual light and Christ in sacred Scripture is called "Sun of Justice" and "orient," the east should be dedicated to his worship. 10. Psalms 136:5–9

    By His insight He made the heavens. His loving devotion endures forever.

11. Ecclesiastes 1:5

    The sun rises and the sun sets; it hurries back to where it rises.

12. Isaiah 13:10

    For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light. The rising sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.

However, following Symmachus, we generally referred to it as a constellation.

13. Isaiah 13:13

    Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place at the wrath of the LORD of Hosts on the day of His burning anger.

14. Isaiah 34:4

    All the stars of heaven will be dissolved. The skies will be rolled up like a scroll, and all their stars will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like foliage from the fig tree.

    "You have spread out the heavens like a tent cloth." The prophet means to say that from the beginning God spread out the heavens, just as if he were unfolding a scroll and rolling it back again, as it is written in Holy Scripture: "And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll." You have constructed your palace upon the waters, as similarly in Genesis, there were waters above the firmament and, likewise, below the firmament. "You travel on the wings of the wind." This typifies the presence of God everywhere.

    “(Chapter 34, Verse 1, etc.) Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth and all that fills it hear, the world and all that springs from it. For the Lord's indignation is against all the nations, and His fury is against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them and given them over to slaughter. 15. Isaiah 40:22

    He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

16. Isaiah 40:26
