Person
Adam
The first man — formed of dust and God's breath, image-bearer, and federal head of the race in whom all sinned.
Adam is created in God's image, given dominion and the garden to keep, and named the animals. His disobedience brings sin and death upon the whole race (Rom 5), yet the promise of the seed (Gen 3:15) is given even as he is sent from Eden. Paul makes him the type of Christ, the 'last Adam.'
