Matthew's Ten Fulfillment Formulas

Matthew's signature device, counted mechanically from the tagged Greek text (atlas lens 53, clean-room from CC-BY data): the ten classic formula quotations (Erfüllungszitate) stand at Matt 1:22 (← Isa 7:14); 2:15 (← Hos 11:1); 2:17 (← Jer 31:15); 2:23; 4:14 (← Isa 9:1–2); 8:17 (← Isa 53:4); 12:17 (← Isa 42:1–4); 13:35 (← Ps 78:2); 21:4 (← Zech 9:9); 27:9 (← Zech 11:12 — the "Jeremiah" attribution crux, displayed rather than hidden). Beside them, the frequency fingerprint of "it is written" (γέγραπται — exactly 67 NT occurrences: Luke 9, Matthew 8, Mark 7 among the gospels) and Matthew's τὸ ῥηθέν "that which was spoken" skeleton (13 occurrences). Luke's counterpart is programmatic rather than itemized: "all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me" (Luke 24:44).
