Commendation: works, charity, service, faith, patience — and growing in good works ("thy works; and the last to be more than the first"). Rebuke: tolerating "Jezebel," a self-styled prophetess teaching fornication and idol-meat. Promise: power over nations (Ps 2 echo) + "the morning star."
