Hebrew El Elyon (אֵל עֶלְיוֹן). The name Melchizedek uses as priest of God Most High; Abram adopts the address (Gen 14:22) when refusing the king of Sodom's spoil. Hebrews 7 develops the Melchizedek-priesthood typology applied to Christ.
